El Encanto Restaurant
The original El Encanto is a romantic Old-World Mission-style restaurant cradled in the heart of Cave Creek. It has a picturesque pond setting, allowing diners to sit along the water, under a covered patio, and observe and mingle with the playful wildlife, including ducks, turtles, owls, and an amazing blue heron.
The menu is authentic handmade Mexican Cuisine, with specialties from regions all over Mexico, including daily fresh fish specials. All of the Mexican Cuisine at El Encanto is authentic and handmade, from the freshest ingredients, and is considered by many to be the best Mexican food in the Valley.

“Great pleasure awaits patrons of Spotted Donkey where creative cuisine is a lusty mix of regional flavors, top-notch artisanal ingredients and locally sourced foods, from meats to coffee, are de rigueur here. The inspired menu embraces Arizona’s southwestern influences such as the popular Arizona Mac ‘n Cheese made with Mexican Cheeses and Hatch Green Chilies. It also strikes a balance between hearty cantina fare and fine dining – part Chimichanga part Pan Roasted Pork Tenderloin with sweet potato tamale, and red chile mole. But it unfailingly presents a modern spin of classic “Cantina-style” dishes.
